"Beautiful hostel. Location is superb. Open markets right across the street to grab fruit or eat a lunch or dinner. I took a taxi to the hostel which cost $36. The subway back to the train station was easy and only $2.40 . Lobby was inviting area where I sat evenings to charge my phone sipping a wine from their nice On site Bar. Room was packed immaculate. "Well, it was unusual circumstances, I think...I didn't know when the last train stopped in Hallstatt, so I had to pay moire for the cab to get there than the room...when I arrived exhausted from mybtreavels, there were at leasdt 30 teenagers there partying it up & the owners didn't spoeak English...I wanted to cry, but then it became hysterically funny...Thank Good I had ear plugs & they had wine to knock me out...the next night they were gone & there was a loively young woman at the front desk...

"Die Einrichtung ist zwar nicht mehr ganz neu(Fernseher Uralt),aber der Service ist supernett und hilfsbereit,was meiner Meinung nach das wichtigste ist.Es war auch alles sehr sauber und ordendlich und das alles in einer sehr schönen Umgebung.Ich würde es wieder buchen."

There is a dock for the kids to jump into the lake from, but when we were there the area by the dock wasn’t so clean. The room was clean, and there was a private bathroom.
