"This was a lovely find in the centre of town. Prices on Hotels.com were extremely competitive than booking directly with the hotel! The “standard room” was large and airy as was the bathroom, which included a rainfall shower over the bath and a handheld shower too! Complimentary tea/coffee/milk sachets were included and an iron with ironing board and hairdryer were also in the room. A lovely modern feel, was lively in the town until about 2am being a bank holiday wknd, but we enjoyed our stay so much we stayed an extra night & on a week night, it was very quiet in the evening. Ideally located for shops, restaurants, pubs, cafes and even a small park open until 9pm. Will definitely be returning in the near future. Only downside was parking! We have a disability blue badge, so was able to park for 3 hrs outside hotel. Of an evening you can park outside from 8pm-8am free of charge, but longer times you will need to use the towns car park."

"Very nice comfortable room (room 57), very spacious, comfortable bed, and nicely designed bathroom. Parking was easy and convenient. Breakfast was lovely and the service was excellent. My only slight criticism was the bright green light on all night in the room which was distracting."

"Wow, what a great place. Arrived tired and grumpy from Italy about 9.30pm, mostly from trying to navigate from the airport parking to the hotel which was a nightmare..gawd..anyhow, easy check-in..was told the restaurant closed at 10 so we managed to get a fabulous curry and a burger and chips (welcome back to the UK! LOL)..but they serve snacks here all night. Loved it. Crashed out, room was fab, quiet, great shower…and a breakfast for Kings…bloody hell, everything was there in that buffet, and it was HOT! The staff are TROOPERS! Really friendly, sociable..even though they had been up sine 4.30am…WE SALUTE YOU! Please open more hotels like this. Thank you."

"Our stay was for my partner’s birthday I made a special request in the booking that there were red&white roses in the room when we got there. And there they were in a beautiful room with a little birthday cake it was a perfect couple of days. Food was delicious in the garden room and everyone was so nice and friendly and helpful "
