"We travel to lake Martin serval times a year for quick as well as long getaways, and I can safely say we enjoyed staying here. The house is very charming and comfortable. The deck is great place to have a cup of coffee in the morning or an adult beverage in the evening. When sitting on the deck you take about 14 stairs down to a landing and then walk down a small, curved incline to get to the dock. We were able to see deer each evening and during the day we got to see turtles, a snake, chipmunks, a duck, a crane as well as a hawk and of course lots of minnows. The dock is a great place to fish / swim or to just enjoy the chairs that are provided along with a drink. For your coffee, they have a traditional coffee maker so be sure to bring coffee and filters, or your own Keurig. Also, there is a laundry room outside of the main dwelling that is easily missed. Lastly, a grocery store is nearby to get anything you may need. Niffers is also right down the road for a great burger, and if you're looking for something a little fancier just go into the Stillwaters community. "

"Three generations of my family enjoyed a week at this home on Lake Martin. The house has lovely views on a quiet slough, 5 big bedrooms, and 5 big, clean bathrooms. The kitchen is stocked with enough to get you by--including both a traditional drip coffee pot and a Keurig. We brought our own knife and stock pot and made good use of those items, but I think everything else we used was provided by our host. One member of our party uses a walker. The house's main floor worked well for him -- there's lots of open space to manuever through. We settled him in the large king suite, and he had good access to the bed (both sides) and bathroom fixtures. There is one small step to enter the house from the driveway. To get down to the lake, there are quite a few steps on the porch, but our friend was able to get down to the lakeside by walking through the lawn from the driveway side. Other than the TVs, you should bring your own entertainment. We brought a deck of cards and played around the dining room table. The TV gets good cable service. The wifi is great; we had 4 people working during the day -- including taking video calls -- and bandwidth didn't suffer. We found the Lake Martin Grocery Store nearby to be well stocked with good quality merchandise -- even fresh cuts of meat. We made a run out most days for odds and ends. There's also a good coffee shop at the corner of county road 34 and 49. I would happily book another stay at this great house! "

"Enjoyed the home and property. Has a beach for kids to play and swim and for adults to lounge and have a fire if desired. Piers and boat docs on property as well. Also places to fish on property if desired. Plenty of room for our family! Close to dining too!"
