"We decided to go to Orange Beach to escape the snow and cold temperatures in January. We were hoping for warm weather, or at least the normal temperatures for the area. It was a little too chilly and windy to golf during the first couple of weeks. We did a lot of walking, and Gulf State Park has excellent trails. We walked every trail in the park, some more than once. We saw lots of wildlife, and met many people from all over the US on each trail.During our third week we experienced a snowstorm...

We so enjoyed sitting outside on the veranda and the seating on the rock outcropping looking over the lake. We rented the boat for one day and had a great time motoring around the lake. Can't beat it!!"
