"The best thing about this place is the staff – they’re super friendly and helpful. They accommodated my request and gave us a quiet room, which was much appreciated. We were also allowed to order a take away, to eat in the room. We were given plates and cutlery from the breakfast area which was a nice touch. "Stunning grounds, lovely and accommodating staff. Our toilet seat was broken, but I didn't mention it to staff as it was only one night and we were moved to that room last minute as I couldn't access the other room so I assumed that was why. I'm confident they'd have moved us or fixed it if we said something though, they were a very good hotel."

"The building itself seems old and is full of characters. Room doors are still open using old fashioned key, tiny tv screen like the old days. As I was only staying for 2 nights, there isn't a need for my room to be freshen up, though there isn't anywhere outside the door where you can hang the 'do not disturb' sign. The shower was a bit too tiny with the switch that switch outwards, you can easily switch off the shower by turning or turn up/down the heat."
