"Overall an average beach house that was efficient for our family vacation to the OBX. However, there were multiple things that if fixed would’ve given this house a higher rating. The house wasn’t fully cleaned upon our arrival with dog hair, cobwebs, dog poop in the yard, and sand in the house. The ice maker in the freezer didn’t work all week. "Great place to stay right on the ocean. Pool, hot tub, few toys & chairs to use on the beach. Location is perfect to explore fun excursions and things to do for the kids. Close to Tim buck II shopping center and restaurants. House is very spacious with multiple refrigerators, ovens, & cookware. Overall great place to go with family or friends for a week vacation in the outer banks."

We loved the backyard & pool, plenty of outdoor & indoor space for the family to spread out and have fun together. We cooked many meals in the well stocked kitchen. The rooms and house were neat and organized. The area is so quiet & a short walk to the beach. Also a short drive to shops & activities. Great area for biking as well. We had the best time!"

"We really enjoyed our stay at Doodlebug! The weather wasn't the greatest so it was nice to have such a welcoming and relaxing place. You can not only see the ocean from the top balcony but also hear it- something so calming about the sound of ocean waves. Short walk to the beach- 5 min? We have an 8 year old and a 5 year old so it's hard to tell with faster adult legs how long it really was. Kids really enjoyed swimming in the pool. It's not heated but you know kids, they never cared!...

"The house was great, plenty of room for the 8 of us with a bedroom to spare. Very close to beach as stated, very easy access. Well appointed kitchen with everything you need. Comfortable beds and the ships watch is a cool place for breakfast and games. The only ask for a flawless guest experience is to take some of the money you’re spending on electricity to dry towels for 3 hours in the ancient washer/dryer and get a new set.
