"We LOVED Villas Rios Mar on the same level with Banana Azul at Puerto Viejo! We stayed at 5 places in Costa Rica and they were our favorites. The grounds were beautiful. The room AND deck space/setting were wonderful! The only things that were a bit of an issue were the safe never worked for us (poor instructions/key use etc), the closet doors were jammed and unuseful, and we were the farthest room from the front desk/restaurant and had trouble with the WIFI. But those things aside, the beauty, the breakfast, pool and overall vibe and resort, made up for it all. Thank you Villas Rios Mar for a great experience!! Would definitely return!"

"My 12 year old twins & I stayed for 3 nights and I wish we could have stayed longer!! I actually booked other hotels and as soon as I found this resort, I was sold. This property is amazing! It’s spread out on a hill in the jungle, right in the heart of Manuel Antonio. We saw monkeys jumping around in the tree canopy every evening.The pool area is more beautiful than the pictures show. The restaurant and sports bar in the middle of the property is great food, drinks, live music, games and very family friendly! The delicious breakfast was included and not to be missed. Rooms are really comfortable and spacious."

The service was exceptional—they went above and beyond by surprising us with wine and chocolate-covered strawberries to celebrate our anniversary. "Beautiful place. People were wonderful. Pricing for food and drinks expensive, but seems to be the case in CR. Wish they better lighting in bath and makeup mirror. Glad I brought one. "

"The hotel was full of trees and plants and wildlife so nice. The food was good and the staff were excellent. The local bus could be caught nearby to the National Park or Quopos for under £1 and was frequent. Outside the hotel we saw sloth with baby and Tucans in the trees. Downside was that outside there were only occasionally places to walk down the road no footpaths so we chose restaurants close by during the day and taxi at night. I would go back to this hotel loved it. There is a small supermarket next door which was handy. Saw many iguana’s in the hotel plus monkeys and a leemar visiting so lovely to see"
