"Really great room for families with 2 beds on a mezzanine level and a separate lounge. Great food and service. Warm swimming pool. Would not describe hotel as a “spa” hotel as such but the hot tub is a nice addition to the pool. Fantastic views of the fells and walks from the door. "

If you are staying here, you must try the restaurant. It was one of the nicest meals I’ve ever had. Highly recommend, we will definitely be back. "

"A great hotel in a prime location . Staff were friendly and attentive. Breakfast was excellent and refreshingly full service no making tea and toast. Parking could be a little challenging at times but it also has some free access to 13amp plugs to charge your car. We had a balcony onto a lovely waterfall but smoking is allowed . Would definitely stay again if in the area. Ambleside is great for vegetarian / vegan."

"We loved the location of the hotel, our room was very comfortable with everything we needed the decor is getting a bit tried however think the hotel is working on this, we enjoyed our daily breakfast with the option to book the night before to save a few dollars, the staff were friendly and professional especially the breakfast ladies they have a big job however we appreciated their efforts.Would highly recommended this wonderful hotel thank you."
