"So many good things about this house- great location, so cute, stocked with snacks. My two complaints are 1) the furniture. The couch and chairs are flaking leather, and it’s all over the floors. You can’t lay on the couch, the flakes get everywhere then. I found them in the bed, in my hair… I think that needs to be taken care of. 2) we found a dead mouse in a trap under the couch. Really wish that would have been checked and dealt with before we got there. All in all, I do recommend this house...

"I really love how peaceful the house and the area are. Very beautiful views of Lake Egypt. I love also how close it is to a bigger city like Marion so you can go shopping at Walmart or even go to Carbondale for shopping. I also love how it’s close to a lot of different/beautiful trails. We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house. We really didn’t want to leave and go back to reality. Must stay. "

"The property was very clean and well equipped. Only thing needed was something to set suitcase on in main bedroom. Kitchen seemed well equipped Altho we did not need them because we were only there for a short time for a wedding. Our gps originally set us on the wrong path so went to Apple Maps and found it quickly. Would be very comfortable to sit and relax on the porch if you had the time to do so. Would definitely stay here again. The kids bedroom was fantastic—-even tho we didn’t...

"Amazing property that we simply didn't stay long enough to enjoy in its completeness. Billiards and Putt-Putt on entry, so attractive that we started playing before we even unpacked! I'm very artsy interior, and lots of room and outdoor fire pit, multiple decks, and an in-ground pool. The home is even on the grounds, an event venue. Probably a wonderful combination for them! Would enjoy returning, but for a longer stay will you could enjoy all with the property had to offer! Highly recommend it"

"The property itself was ok. It was listed as "minimalistic" which was true; 4 plates/glasses, mini-fridge which couldnt hold a bag of ice or small pizza box. Only 1 small tv. Very irritating that $195 cleaning fee, when requested to remove shoes indoors and the wood floor wasnt even clean as well as I am expected to do the laundry ..cmon?!? Was difficult communicating with host. "
