"If you’re looking for a comfortable, relaxing place to stay, look no further! This cute home located right next to Shawnee National Forest was the perfect weekend getaway for us and our dogs. The house is back in the woods with over 8 acres to explore. And the stars at night were incredible! Everything was very clean and our host provided bottled water and had all the makings for coffee. Will definitely stay here again next time we visit!"

"My husband and I stayed with our dog at this property and had a wonderful time! We have been to the trail many times during peak season, but decided we wanted to do something a little more lowkey and bring our dog. We spent quite a bit of time in the house, reading, watching TV cooking, and all of the amenities that we needed were there. Communication with the property owner, Steve, was also very easy and he was very responsive.Would recommend this cozy home! "

"Amazing property that we simply didn't stay long enough to enjoy in its completeness. Billiards and Putt-Putt on entry, so attractive that we started playing before we even unpacked! I'm very artsy interior, and lots of room and outdoor fire pit, multiple decks, and an in-ground pool. The home is even on the grounds, an event venue. Probably a wonderful combination for them! Would enjoy returning, but for a longer stay will you could enjoy all with the property had to offer! Highly recommend it"

"This property is beautiful. The area is peaceful and the house is just as listed. Lots of special touches, charging ports in each bedroom, TV in each bedroom and lots more. They say the little things matter. Five stars "

"We took our adult kids on a family spring break vacay. The house is great, although the weather didnt cooperate with all our hiking and outdoor plans, we had a great stay close to other indoor activities such as axe throwing and bowling. The one day we had to make up for lost time lead us to 2 nearby hiking trails w/waterfalls. The 3rd was a bit farther of a drive, but when we got back our achy legs rested quickly in the hot tub followed by a warm fire."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The wood panelling and the vaulted ceiling and the view were all so pretty. Very nice bathroom and kitchen. Lovely, very clean bedrooms and bedding. Super clean throughout. My only complaint is that the hot tub cover needs replacing. It was really difficult to open and close it. But, it was hot on a very cold January day. "

"We had 4 of us for a 2 night stay. The property is clean, everything looked fresh and welcoming. The house is located about a mile off of hwy 61, so is close to fuel, restaurants, etc. We enjoyed the quiet surroundings."

"My wife and I had an amazing time exploring the surrounding area on our weekend getaway. Hiking and wineries and relaxing in the hot tub was exactly what we wanted. There’s so much to explore and we’ve just scratched the surface. We hope to make it back for another adventure soon. "
