"Was a perfect little bacth in middle of Chch. Close enough to everything. "

"What a hidden gem. Fitzgerald cottage had everything we needed; it really is a hidden oasis in the middle of the CBD. My adult daughter commented that she wished she was friends with the owner as she has "the best taste ever" in decorating. Everything was comfortable, clean and just overall fantastic. Communication was great and we will definitely try to stay here again when next in Christchurch. Thank you for allowing us to stay here."

"The property was just as expected and perfect for us on our 18 day holiday in Christchurch. The weather was terrible, but the cottage was warm and comfortable. There was plenty of room for our things and we were able to entertain friends and family. Even though the surrounding area isn't inspiring, we were amazed how quiet it was, and the closeness of public transport was good. "Very nice cottage in a great location. Lush beds provided a good night's sleep, lovely homely feel, well stocked pantry, went the extra mile to enquire what bread and milk we preferred. As a pet owner who was away from their dogs for 10 days, I loved that their pets were able to come and go if we wanted them too. Close to lots of food options. Would definitely recommend. "

"We were unaware it was only 2 bedrooms with 2 double beds... but worked just fine because the boys had sleeping bags on one bed. Dishwasher was not functioning safely with drawers unable to take weight so we chose to hand wash our dishes. Apart from that we enjoyed our stay."

"the house is small but can fit in with my family. the host replied promptly and solved with all the enquires. only sad thing is the washing machine is too old the clothes left lots of powder after wash. overrall good ."

"Such a stunning view!! I could have sat in the spa soaking that in all day, especially when the sun is shining across the bay! The house is a perfect size for 2 adults with all that is needed to cook and have a few days out of the hustle and bustle. Akaroa is close by and there are plenty of great cafes and bars to eat at a short 10 min drive away."

"We enjoyed our stay in the property. It was well equipped, had very comfortable beds, and was in a good location. Bachcare, the agent, were responsive, when required. The only negatives were the intermittent hot water in the shower (everywhere else the hot water was fine) and the very neglected garden area."

"Clean, tidy and warm house, that gave our family enough room to be together and separate as needed. Short walks to shops and the waterfront, so well situated. There were a couple of things we missed that I thought would be standard, like dishcloths and a coffee plunger in the kitchen (we bought one), and games/jigsaws in the living room. Can I also suggest a refresh of the dreadful artwork in the house, which is reminiscent of garage sale leftovers; and that the very scruffy garden swing seat be...

"Great property in a good location in Christchurch. 10 minute walk to the riverside market. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Only downside was the parking at the property was a bit expensive. I would park in the lot across the street. Otherwise a great hotel and I would stay again!"
