"This house was perfect for our needs. We are a large family who needed to be close to relatives living in the area. House was modern, spacious and met all our needs. Had outdoor table and BBQ which we used. 2 living areas with giant TVs which the kids loved. Lots of appliances including a coffee machine (with generous quantity of pods supplied). Is located in a very quiet suburban area. Will definitely be back as location suits us perfectly to be close to our family. Thanks for having us. "

"Wonderful house, very comfortable and well appointed. Set back from main road so no real traffic noise. A bit tricky for car access as divided road but easily manageable once you know then roads. Definitely recommend."

"Incredibly peaceful and quiet. The birds were incredible to see and hear! Easy walk (at the end of the cul-de-sac at the bottom of the hill) to the beach by way of a mowed path. Beautiful!"

"I cannot recommend this lodge enough! A group of friends and I stayed for 4 nights and everything we needed was supplied. Plenty of space, rooms and bathrooms which was so important for a big group! Very secluded area, however still very close to everything, with the airport just around the corner. Brigette was a lovely host and was extremely welcoming and accommodating. "Lovely view over Akaroa Harbour from upstairs. We enjoyed our stay. The house was large and just accommodated us all. A couple of wee things like some coffee pods and the beds made as we paid for the linen and towel option would have been good. Overall our stay was very comfortable thanks. "

"The uniqueness was the Tudorisque style of the rooms and everything around it. Liked the attention to detail inside the room like door handles etc with Harrypotterish around. Front desk members were very helpful . They surprised us with a NZ specific fruit Feigi. something to learn everyday. The highlight was a free upgrade to a two bedroom . Kids loved it. Price was good. Too bad we were only for a day . wished we could have stayed more. "

"On my first evening, I noticed an issue with the toilet - it constantly made a dripping sound that was quite maddening when trying to sleep. I told the front desk, in hopes that they could send maintenance to fix it, but as it was the start of the weekend, I was told that might be a while, so instead they just offered me a new room. I was impressed by their commitment to do right by me — it would have been much easier for them to just call maintenance and leave it for Monday. "
