"We found the property clean but lacking, certainly not "Superb". The decor was sparse e.g. bare light bulbs. Negatives Bathroom: no mirror, no towel rails, only one hand towel in the property for three. Kitchen: Two sets of knives & forks for three, no large glasses or wine glasses, no fire blanket/extinguisher, no downstairs smoke alarm I could spot. "Our stay was very good. All rooms are clean and tidy and very comfortable. The only problem was kitchen. Unfortunately the cleanliness was not great. Any cup, plate or pan we wanted to use had to be washed before it could be used. Otherwise we were happy with everything else. There was a problem with heating when we arrived but it has been quickly resolved by maintenance engineer."

"The house is clean in the main areas that you need i.e. clean sheets and towels. However, it needs a good deep clean between the gaps of the couch, 'stuff' under the foot stool when moved, mold near the hand basin, bubbling above shower, dishes/cutlery needing a good wash. A fan in summer would have been helpful and had to chase the host for check-in details. Photos are better than what is actually is and could do with some maintenance and tlc."

"Water was leaking in two of the three rooms from the ceiling onto the beds and along the walls of the rooms. We were able to use only one of the three rooms. Our host informed us of the problem per e-mail at about 7PM but we were unaware of that message as we were driving. Upon late arrival at about 11:00PM we were informed of a leak in one of the rooms but soon discovered that water was dripping onto the bed in the second bedroom. "Lovely property but needs a little TLC. For instance curtain in lounge half hanging off, no lock for front bathroom door, loads of lightbulbs not working, video game not working holes in wall in bathroom and one of the bedrooms. Having said this the beds were comfortable, lots of space for 10 people and hot tub a great bonus. Nothing to spoil the holiday but just a few niggles."

Friendly staff and comfortable room

"Good contact before trip; fast check-in; quiet room at back of hotel; decent size room and well-appointed bathroom. Good breakfasts. Every single member of staff was welcoming, saying hello in what seemed a very genuine way: spirits seemed good, gave impression of being a happy workplace, which makes guests feel comfortable."

Lovely hospitality

"This was a delightful 3-star hotel which gets 5 stars from me in that category. The lovely warm hospitality started upon my check-in. Shout out to Michael for his warm welcome, extremely friendly and welcoming. All his colleagues, the whole team, were really nice too. The room was a decent size, as was the bathroom - just the right size, any smaller and it would’ve been too small. The bed was fine, the mattress was fairly comfortable. The sheets were good enough. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean. My room, 206, was at the back of the building so it was quiet. There was some noise from the corridor/other rooms, but none from outside. Overall, the noise wasn’t too bad. The breakfast was great, and the staff were very accommodating. The hotel location is perfect - central and a few minutes’ walk from the station. Overall, excellent. Very happy with my stay."

Great hotel conveniently placed for train

"I thought this was a great hotel. Everything was in excellent condition and very clean and comfortable. Walking distance from the train and metro service is five minutes and there are lots of chain and non-chain restaurants and take away nearby. Room had a table and chairs for eating at or working. Only qualm was I’d have liked a choice of pillows as the ones on the bed were too high for my neck. Other than that, perfect stay. "
