"The Gun Room was very nicely kitted out. The kitchen had everything we needed. Bedroom was very comfortable and bright. One thing I would say is that the sofa is very small and not very comfortable! There is however a TV in the bedroom for lounging. The outside space is lovely and we had some great weather to enjoy it. We had our dog with us so the garden was great but the road was very busy so for a longer walk we had to go in the car. "

The hot tub was heated ready for our arrival. The listing says wood fired but it’s actually an electric one. Limited wood for the wood stove inside, but could be purchased as an extra. "Fantastic location next to the canal enjoyed watching boats going past. Nice walks around and other places nearby. Only thing wrong with the discrimination of the property is it says it has a hot tub but it has a bath inside the house and no hot tub outside. We still enjoyed our visit "

"My family and I had the pleasure of staying here for 2 nights to celebrate my 50th birthday. The property surpassed all of our expectations and was the perfect setting for a murder mystery night 👻. Everything had been thought about from the provision of toiletries to an abundance of glasses, cutlery and plates etc. There was plenty of room for the 12 of us without feeling that we were in each others way. The only downside being that we only stopped 2 nights."

"We had a lovely time in this beautiful house - there was plenty of living space for the whole group to spread out and we loved having a big group dinner in the grand dining room. The house is old and some niggles are to be expected (minor cobwebs, loose doorknobs, a couple of chipped mugs) and they definitely didn't take away from our love for the place (and shouldn't deter anyone else!)."
