"This was my second visit one of the best hotels in the Savegre Valley for birders. The accommodations are excellent (including heating in the rooms & hot showers!), with the mountain-view villas being especially good for birders. A major bonus is a wonderful bird-feeding area attracting lots of hummingbirds & frugivores. The only drawback on this visit was the disappointing meals on our first evening - I hope just a reflection of temporary staffing problems. Fortunately excellent restaurants...

"Staying here for 2 days was the best part of our trip to Costa Rica! We were treated like family! Albert Alonso the owner is a wonderful chef and he makes everything himself.
