We visited for the Polar Express and had a wonderful time. "Convenient to everything in Bryson City, 2 minute drive to anything in town. If you don't mind an uphill walk on your return, reasonably fit people could likely walk to town (with 2 young kids and the winter cold, we didn't try it!). The view of the town below was beautiful. "We had a wonderful time at the Rockhouse! We were up for a gymnastics event at Harrah’s and needed somewhere that would fit our family of 5 and both sets of grandparents. This fit us perfectly! The kids absolutely LOVED the bunk room and the games. When we were at the house, they’d disappear to that room until we called them downstairs. "Beautifully decorated, immaculately clean! Beds & furniture very comfy. Kitchen well equipped. The view of river outback was lovely. We had an unexpected delay ( mechanical with vehicle) of 2 hrs when checking out, & they were very understanding, although there was a modest 25 fee added for late checkout. We would stay again! "
