"I booked this cabin for a quiet, peaceful getaway and it did not disappoint. Located 1/4 mile off the main road, the location was fantastic. During our time spent at the cabin we didn’t see another person or another vehicle. Beautiful place inside and out, with everything I look for in a rental (quiet, updated and well-appointed, King bed, walk-in shower, fireplace and covered hot tub. I will definitely rent this place again when looking for a peaceful getaway!"

But, we were also perfectly located for visiting Franklin, and an easy drive to Sylva, Cherokee, and Bryson City. Our hosts were easy to communicate with, and had really thought through what makes a house feel and function like home. "Wonderful home nicely decorated with beautiful views from decks on three levels. As the description warned, we did have a bear get into our car overnight and chewed up some gum but no further damage. I was surprised, though, at the irresponsibly steep roads leading up to the home. Our friends had a van that barely made it, so we had to shuttle them up and down the mountain. Also, we were sure to be home by sunset as the roads are narrow and unmarked with no shoulder. We saw two cars that had run...
