"The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. I read a lot of reviews on here about rooms being outdated or loose light sockets. Really? I've stayed in hundreds of hotels and I know there are no 4 star hotels in Grand Marais. Know your area and people research where your going. Keep your expectations reasonable. Expedia is full of whiny premadonnas. "

"I really enjoyed all the little seating areas that we could use to sit and enjoy a game, or a cup of coffee outside the room. Everyone was so nice, and I loved that the continental breakfast had oatmeal!"

"Very nice rustic option for those not wanting to pay the standard resort prices on the north shore. Great location on the north side of Lutsen with easy access to the Superior Hiking Trail. We stayed in the motel section. The rooms are a little outdated but great for the price! Each has a small kitchenette that provides the option of some easy meals in the room. We enjoyed breakfast here each morning before setting off on our daily adventures to see the nearby waterfalls. They were also in process of updating the motel room bathrooms. The staff was super friendly and we enjoyed some great conversation upon check-in."

"We were looking for a last minute stay for skiing. We were arriving after the front desk closed and they reached out with after hours check in instructions. Great location! Great Value! Would definitely stay again."

"We had an amazing time at Lutsen Sea Villas! The quiet, spotless townhome with gorgeous Lake Superior views was perfect. We loved cozying up by the fireplace and the kids loved chilling in the huge loft. The kitchen was nice for our quick meals. The kids had a super time shredding Lutsen Mountains’ awesome ski slopes nearby!"
