"This property is located in a secluded area of the Stella Maris beach where walking is not really ideal especially if you are alone. The hotel staff was very friendly and attentive. Although I chose the “luxury” room, the bedroom was very modest but offered a very comfortable bed. The bathroom could use some renovation as there was noticeable mold and the sink seemed clogged. The A/C worked great but leaked so much - I had to place a towel on the floor. The amenities were great, offered daily...

"The hotel is dated, in poor repair. Only one of the two elevators was working. The room had nothing in it, no cups, soap, etc. completely bare except bedding and towels. The safe was missing its door. View was of construction."

"IF YOU WANT TO SLEEP and ARE A TOURIST DO NOT STAY HERE Ive actually stayed here several months earlier and it was not great, but this time around was so Horrible i had to leave 5 days early (losing that money) and check into a different Hotel I dont know if its because of the low rates, but the people staying here were Loud and leaving their children running arouns the hallways all day and night. "Close to the beach, but didn't feel very safe at night. We liked the hotel though. The room we got had a seaview and was clean. Some smell in the lobby, near the stairs, like mold or bad ventilation. We chose the hotel based on the location primarily. Close to the beach and the airport, which was good, as we stayed only for 1 night before continuing our journey from the airport. Wifi had good signal but was so slow that I decided to use my own from my cell phone."

"We definitely enjoyed our stay at the Wish hotel. It's conveniently located in the heart of Salvador so we were a cheap Uber ride away from the main attractions. Breakfast and dinner were included (which was a surprise, didn't know dinner was!) and the food was outstanding! Not a bad meal the entire 5 days we were there. A fresh buffet for dinner with a lot of options. My only complaint is that they do need to update their rooms. They are a little dated. But other than that, we enjoyed our stay and I would recommend it. We found out the Wish is the first 5 star hotel in Salvador and the art work in there has a history according to our tour guide. "
