"Room was clean and nice. Spa facilities good but could be larger/more areas as some areas were always full. Steak in restaurant was very dry and overcooked, food overpriced for what it is & small portion sizes for the chicken. Coffee at breakfast had lots of sediment left in the cup 👎. Overall we enjoyed the stay but I don’t think we would return or recommend."

"This is a lovely hotel very welcoming from the start. We were checked in by Ishi who was friendly and extremely helpful as we're all the staff. The room was very clean and fresh and the bed extremely comfortable. The food was delicious both for the evening meal and the breakfast. Very good value as well. There had been lots of work done here recently and some more to finish all being done to a high standard. Would thoroughly recommend staying here very good value indeed. "

"I've stayed here several times previously, so the room was good value as usual. This is a Marston's (brewery) pub/lodge, so I was surprised and disappointed there was no draught ale in the bar. I had a pizza, which was edible but definitely required at least twice as much topping on the base - very miserly portion control! NB: all the staff on duty were absolutely fine: I'm sure these are senior management policy issues."
