"Peaceful, cozy and clean. Lovely surroundings. Shame there was no breakfast or cafe/restaurant. Had to drive to get breakfast. Nice to see cows in the fields when you wake up."

"Great no-frills appartment - clean, spacious, in good condition and comfortable (low ceilings and a bit dark as the windows faced the woodland, but it couldn't be helped and it didn't spoil our stay). A pity about the damp smell in the beautiful old main building where the bar and restaurant are but all the staff were friendly, very helpful and the food was good. "We had to chase up the check in process whilst we were waiting outside the property, no information beforehand. There were a number of issues which we commented on to the owner. There was no response, or any acknowledgement of receiving my message. The issues were mainly solved but the day before we left! No WiFi from Tuesday evening until we left on the Thursday, and no communication back on this. Apartment was very small and could do with a bit of tlc all over. All the windows, apart from one,...

"Really great base for exploring the Lake District.lovely quiet area with a really pleasant atmosphere. We had a 2 bed lodge which was clean and well kitted out with everything you need. If I’m being picky maybe could do with a refresh but no complaints from me. Great communication by SMS and a really pleasant break.👍😃"

"A nostalgia trip for me as my dad worked there as a chef 60 years ago. I loved it as a kid, visiting him and going to Christmas parties and it’s every bit as good as I remember it. Super friendly staff, great sea views, quality singer for entertainment with a generous well made breakfast to finish our stay. We’ll definitely be going back again and again. "

"This is a lovely hotel. Room was lovely with a Large comfy bed and nice spacious shower room ..a good selection of options for breakfast cereals,pancakes,breads and buns..hot breakfast options aswell. Staff are all very helpful ..the hotel is situated at the south end of the promenade near the pleasure beach …The tram stop is about a 100yrds from the hotel and run every 10mins until late best to get a day ticket at £5 for an adult and can use as much as you like ..the only down side the hotel charge to park your in their car park is £17 per night. We stayed 3 nights so £51 to park is a bit steep. All in all A very nice hotel to stay in..love it. Thanks xx"
