(We always try to tell the front desk about anything that needs attention, but got distracted as we were leaving and forgot to do so this time.) "We made reservations for a one-bedroom separated from the kitchen area. When we arrived at the hotel, we were told that the key reader in the one-bedroom suite wasn't working, and we were given a studio suite. There was a price difference, and we were not offered a reimbursement. The staff was friendly and we loved the breakfast options they offered. The food was delicious and the whole area was very well maintained. "

"I was driving home from Vegas and I was very tired. I decided to stop so I could get some sleep. I want expecting much just needed a bed so I could sleep. But the hotel was very nice and clean. The staff was super nice and professional. The beds were very comfy. When we woke up we had breakfast and that was very good. I can't say that I'll be back because it was in the middle of nowhere but I will definitely let friends and family know if they need a pit stop. This is the place. "

Barstow has many motels but many are of poor quality. I would definately recommend Route 66 Motel and consider it to be one of the better ones on Main St. I would stay again. "

"The guest service person was excellent! Helpful and professional! The outer exterior looked promising but as we enter the unit we were very disappointed in the furnishings. Tried to make it modern but did so with cheap materials. Bed had springs that made noise on every movement. The sheets were discolored and had holes and stains on the top cover. No shampoo or shower wash. Towels need replacing as grey and rough . Bleached to the point of fraying ! Only good part was the staff. The upgrades...
