No tv remote in room and to be fair we didn’t request one during the stay as we got back late and didn’t notice until ready for bed and would have had to walk into the bar area! "

"This is a modest, small place. Not really a hotel at all - more a case of Pub with Rooms. We were shocked when we asked, "What time do you serve breakfasts?" A reasonable question? "We don't do breakfast!" was the reply. The (friendly) manager waved her hand vaguely out of the window and told us of a cafe, supposedly a short walk away. We managed to get milk and next morning, made a cuppa and set of to find the breakfast cafe. After a fifteen minute hike we found ourselves well into Penarth...
