"Adjoining the two-story bank of rooms and the lobby/breakfast-dining-tables is a dense jungle where tropical birds chirp. An attractive setting. My single-bed room could have been brighter with stronger light bulbs, but when I requested a lamp to see my laptop keyboard, the desk clerk quickly and cheerfully supplied one. I probably should have asked for a wash cloth for showering, but that's a basic necessity. The bathroom-sink faucet had little pressure and the shower water was barely lukewarm...

"Hosts were on site all day and always accessible. Very helpful and congenial! Exterior is not special, but interior of B&B is terrific. Spacious rooms, a beautiful shared patio, complete shared kitchen. You can walk to a number of restaurants, and drive to many more within a few minutes. The only negative for late sleepers is that the Catholic church on the corner rings it bell early in the AM."

"I stayed at this B&B for a few hours while waiting for a midnight flight, and overall, it met my needs. The location is excellent—only five minutes from the airport, in a safe, secure gated community, which provided peace of mind for a quick stopover. "This is a reasonably priced boutique hotel close to the airport. They offer an airport shuttle for $5 (only leaving from the hotel) and breakfast is available for $11. The hotel works well for a quick overnight stay in San Jose before flying out or when flying back into the country and not wanting to make the long drive home at night. The hotel is behind a tall motorized gate and also within a small cul de sac that is also gated so it feels safe. We did not partake of the breakfast so we can't...

"We had an absolutely amazing time celebrating my birthday here. The property was clean and inviting. The view was amazing! The property manager, Piet, was courteous and informative! We went during the rainy season, but still had a great time. Daytime was warm & we enjoyed the pool and again, the VIEW! Would definitely recommend! "

"We stayed 4 nights at Villa Tamarindo and it did not disappoint. From the welcome email from Joe with directions, to Elias warm greeting and villa tour, to the bonus room for yoga/reading, this villa was amazing. We had 2 couples but will likely return with our kids next time. We were blown away with the beauty of the place! A 4x4 car will be needed if you rent a car which is highly recommended. LOVED IT here! Thank you Joe and Elias!"
