My single-bed room could have been brighter with stronger light bulbs, but when I requested a lamp to see my laptop keyboard, the desk clerk quickly and cheerfully supplied one. I probably should have asked for a wash cloth for showering, but that's a basic necessity. The bathroom-sink faucet had little pressure and the shower water was barely lukewarm...

"David and his family are wonderful. They were generous and kind to me and were genuinely caring about my well-being. Their home is lovely and I hope to stay there again. The beach is very close (3 minute walk). I loved listening to the jungle sounds. I did not enjoy the more than expected traffic on the little dirt road but I would need to go deeper into the jungle, further away from conveniences and the beach if I wanted to get away from that kind of noise.
