Not an ideal area for checking out the historical part of istabul but we had an overnight layover so we didn't need to be in the heart of Istanbul. Staff did push us hard to use one of their taxis but we were able to get a taxi to the airport for only 1000 liras. "

"This hotel came at a nice discount price, as it appears to be off of the normal tourist season. Staff are friendly. The place appears to be very safe. It also was clean. The only drawback is that it is a little bit further from the airport than it appears on the map. The Airport Shuttle is a little expensive, but if you want to take the metro and bus, be prepared to take a little longer, and have either a map with an active data plan or take very good notes in advance. Road signs are not very well marked."

The breakfast food was excellent with many options. The rooms were small, but that is to be expected in this area. For as old as the building is, it was quite clean and well-maintained."
