"The staff here is exceptional. Cesar is a great host and will do whatever it takes to make your stay memorable. He booked our white-water rafting trip for us. Chris, in the restaurant, was very attentive and even passed along some messages from the rafting company to us. It is about 20 minutes out of La Fortuna with a beautiful view of Lake Arenal. Lots of birds to see, too. This was the 2nd time we’ve stayed here and when we get back to CR, we will stay there again. "

"The room was exactly as depicted on the website. Breakfasts were great, and we saw some beautiful birds right on the property (motmot and parrot). We were given misinformation about a tour and were told that the park entrance fee was included but it was not. Overall, we would stay at this property again."

The staff helped booked all the tours for us with transportation included. I would come back in a heart beat! The can’t not recommend this place enough! Loved everything about Costa Rica and Lost Iguana. "

"Hacienda is a great spot. Beautiful grounds, great restaurant, and great service. It’s showing its age a bit and could use a little updating and some maintenance. Our room was very nice and comfortable but the AC did not cool the room well. It did not detract from the overall stay though."
