"The staff is amazing and extremely helpful. Our cabin overlooked the trees with birds galore. Plenty of trails around the property with a fish hatchery, flowers, fruit, etc. we opted for breakfast the first day but didn’t realize we were to tell them on the next day. Not sure what happened. Defiant would stay again. Pool was freezing so we couldn’t enjoy it very much when we were there. "

" I’m very picky about cleanliness so I chose this cabin because I could see while blankets & towels in the pictures & they didn’t disappoint me! All was perfectly clean & organized The mattress & pillows were very comfortable. Someone said it was hard to locate the place but just following Waze or Google maps we made it to their parking with no problem. "The place is great for 4 people, others would have to sleep in living room and table only sits 4. First night I got little sleep because of extreme wind noise, but depends on weather conditions. There is no AC so place gets very hot during the day. Views are amazing!"

"The property was beautiful! Great views and the property has what is needed. Definitely a good idea to have a 4x4 but not absolutely necessary. But that’s the same as the roads to get to Monteverde. Definitely a place a would stay again if I go back to Monteverde. Xinia and her husband were on site everyday taking care of the property and available for anything we needed. "

"Such an amazing experience. The bus was the perfect size for two people, the deck was amazing to sit at and listen to the birds. You are surrounded by trees and the smell is otherworldly! "Patrick was the ultimate host, nothing was too much for him! The house was comfortable and the breakfasts varied and delightful. AC was nice but the mountain breezes cooled things off nicely too. Pool and hot tub were amazing! You will nott be sorry if you book here!"
