"Was impressed with the ability to text back and forth with the front desk to ask for specific accommodations and to let them know that we had a dog with, and to let them know our ETA. It really streamlined the process. Staff was very friendly, prompt, whole place was very well kept. Definitely recommend. Oh yes and the most important part - the bed was comfortable and clean 😀"

"Although this place stated they were renovated, I found this to be misleading. The toilet was new, and the tile looked like us was installed by unskilled workers. The shower curtain rod and grab bars were stained and peeling. The walls were dirty, the bedspread was stained, furniture was worn, scratched. We slept in our clothes and coats on top of the bedspread bc we just felt things were not clean. The nightstand lamp did not work. Non of the usb outlets works in any lamp. The microwave oven was dirty. Worst was the door to the room did not have a secondary lock for security. They had been broken off. We jammed the one chair provided against the door. They required full payment upfront (2nights). The fine print stated that once the check in paper was signed, no refunds were allowed, so we were stuck. The motel seemed to house those who were otherwise homeless. Personal chairs outside doors and a BBQ was on a balcony. The “lobby” was always locked and I had to make a call to have someone check me in. This is NOT the quality of motel I expected to find on Hotels.com."

"We enjoy old hotels and properties that have been repurposed. This wasn't our first visit to the Windsor, and staying there is reason enough to travel to Americus. "

"Lovely small home located right on Lake Blackshear with a very nice fenced yard & a covered dock out back, sitting area and you can fish right from it. Although, we did take fishing equipment we did not fish so sadly no fishing report. The home is located in what I would call an upscale community. Lovely woods are across the road and during our trip we saw 3 deer and quite a variety of birds. We enjoyed the feeders out back & all the red birds. It’s the perfect location to meet the train & take it to Plains GA, home of Jimmy Carter.. Don’t miss visiting Plains and having the peanut butter ice cream! Plains has several antique stores and the train trip was so much fun! We would definitely stay here again, the home was spotless! "
