Walking distance to anywhere in downtown Savannah, and a short drive to Tybee Island, Wormsloe plantation and Boneventure Cemetery. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful regarding anything Savannah. Breakfast is fabulous. Parking is secure and included. "

"1842 Inn exceeded my expectations. Its absolutely beautiful with just an amazing ambiance. Felicia and Latisha were so nice and so helpful. Felicia even helped carry our bags upstairs. It was unreasonably cold so the fireplace was going and relaxing music was playing. It was very welcoming and cozy. We stayed in the John Gresham room. The bed was very comfortable. We would love to stay again if we get to the area and would love to stay longer so we can explore more of the area and research the...

"The house is very pretty and the decor helps to enhance the feel of just how old the house is. However, our room was on the third floor which would have been no problem except my mom had hurt her hip just before our trip and the stairs were difficult for her to get up and down- this house does not have an elevator. The location near Forsyth park is excellent- the parking was not very great as it is street parking and you have to contend with street sweeper days if you are there on Monday night...
