"The room was very well-prepared and the owner is kind and helpful, and seems like she has some interesting stories to tell. I was hoping the bar would be a gathering spot for all the guests, but I never saw it open (appears to be by reservation?) That we were encouraged to return by 9 PM was also a bit onerous (given it is 30 minutes from the city centre), but an understandable part of the guesthouse experience."

"Great hotel for costuming universal studios with a family. We stayed in the under water themed rooms overlooking universal walk and the park. Staff were very friendly with fantastic English. They had our bags waiting for us in the room and helped us ship them to the next hotel upon checkout. The staff had stickers for the kids, the cutest peanuts toothbrushes/kid sized slippers/teddy pjs in the lobby, plus animal sponges in the room. Such lovely touches! "A bit odd the next day as I was checking out, they said they had not collected the city tax of 300 yen from me when I checked and wanted to collect it as I was leaving. As I had booked and prepaid online, I presumed this was already sorted. Regardless that is an error on behalf of the hotel and chasing me down at check-out seemed a bit weird.
