"I was charged for staining a towel, which I didn't even stain. I couldn't even argue the charge as they didn't want to believe me. Kind of brutal as I paid almost $1000 for my stay. Very bad to do that to customer. Take pics to proof your stuff otherwise they'll make bogus charges"

"The property is gorgeous, flowers and plants are mixed right into all areas. It's very well taken care of and the staff was amazing! They ensured that we were well taken care of during our time at the property. Oh and they even have a few parrots on property! The only slight ding on this review is that one of the two pools was being renovated while we were there. However, during our 5 night stay they basically completed the pool renovations. La Soleil doesn't leave things in an unusable state...

"The house was cute, with a nice courtyard and rooftop terrace to look at the volcanoes. Check-in was a little hectic since a bus load of tourists had arrived at the same time. This seems to be the standard guest at this hotel, and only they have access to meals at the hotel. "Everything was amazing. The reviews for this hotel were very mixed, however our experience was amazing and have no idea why anyone would say anything negative. Our room (#8) was beautiful, the esthetic of the pool was georgeous, the view of Lake Atitlan (feet away) was breathtaking, the staff was kind, friendly (miri and juan..everyone) and everyone always had a smile on their face. The food was great👌. 10/10 i would definitely return and would recommend!"

"This is a lovely hotel a few blocks from the main square. While it was clean and lovely, my daughter and I both felt that for this price they could have had a more hospitable reception for guests, some more interaction throughout the stay, maybe afternoon drinks or some kind of way for guests to interact. "Staff was very responsive and pleasant and made us feel very welcome and responded to all our needs. This property is a little bit funky if you're sensitive to design and layout. Definitely not harmonious or feng shui aligned. A couple examples: the pool is right next to the front door and check in.
