"Really enjoyed the stay here. Staff were great, comfortable beds, safe area with lots of restaurants in walking distance. Only a short cab to the main plaza. They stored our bags for the 4 day trek we did and everything was safe, including my friends insulin which they kept in the fridge for us. A little noise because of the airport being so close. "

"I have stayed at Amaru Colonial a few times in the past. I love this beautiful hotel. It has lovely gardens and the rooms have lots of character. There are many choices for breakfast. One of my favorite places I visited in Peru. We got there as the sun was coming up, and no one else was at the site for a good 2 hours. There was an amazing amount of working Incan waterways through here. The sound of running water was everywhere, with a public waterfall/fountain, and lots of water channels running through the whole site. It was preserved immaculately, and was a highlight of the trip for us, even though it started as an afterthought.
