"Be aware, if they give you room 102, ask for a change. The hot water in the shower is inconsistent and you would get one minute of hot water and then 5 minutes of cold water and so on, so you would shower for 1 minute and stand in the cold for minutes waiting for the water to get hot again to finish your shower, horrible experience. I stayed for 5 nights so I know what I am talking about. Everything was great especially for the price, would have been 5 stars if not for the hot water issue."

"the staff was super friendly and very helpful. once you arrive the doorbell is on the top right hand corner of the door way. they keep the doors locked for safety. breakfast was good they do have eggs they cook to order for free. the bed room was perfect for our needs. the beds where very comfortable. the bathrooms where very clean they provide toilet paper. only thing i would suggest is the bring shampoo and bodywash of your own liking, this is how i always travel. they do have shampoo and soap...

"Casona La Recoleta is a wonderful place to stay at Cusco. My spouse became ill from the altitude sickness upon arrival. The staff immediate tested her blood oxygen level and offered an emergency oxygen tank to relieve her symptoms. My spouse kept on and off the oxygen without success of bringing her blood oxygen level up on her own. We ran out of the oxygen in the middle of the night, and the 24-hr onsite staff helped with another tank while I was trying to book a flight to get us down to Lima...

"Son una ESTAFA , cuando llegamos al lugar supuestamente ellos ya no eran los dueños y no eran los dueños , pero lo más que hablamos con ellos nos dimos cuenta que si lo eran y que estaban encargados de la propiedad y que solo decidieron darle a nuestra habitación a otras personas . "The place is close to the center. That is a nice thing. San Pedro Market is just around the corner. The staff was friendly but did not speak a lot of english and when we had to check out we where charged with 5% extra because of a credit card service charge. Not cool when you are out of cash because you are heading out of the country. "

"The hotel was nice and comfortable. It was smaller then expected but we made it work. The host julia is incredible. She provided us with items to cook breakfast everyday and was easy to get in touch with if needed. There was hot water and the toilets worked! We stayed in the unit that had the overlooking terrace over cusco and it was gorgeous. "
