"The Lodge was spectacular and the staff friendly, professional, and helpful. Within hours of arrival, they knew our names. The room was large, private, clean and very comfortable with a large deck overlooking the rainforest, a huge bathroom and our own private hot tub. We did many activities through the lodge (hiking, yoga, night walk, bird watching tour) and the guides were excellent. The food was delicious and very fresh. Each dish was beautifully plated and generous. 5 stars!"

"A very unique hotel!! beautiful in all senses! Staff and owner extremely kind!! our food incident: We left chewing gum in the shelf upon entering the room and within minutes it was full of ants. There is an instruction booklet/binder in the room which states not to bring any food in the room in bold red color font but its buried in 2 pages of information and we didn't finished reading by the time the ants got to the gum. perhaps a sign on the hotel door or a reminder during check-in would be...

"What an amazing place! The rooms are open with big windows and lovely views and Mellisa has thought of everything to make the room amenable. Stove top, refrigerator, and lots of flat surfaces for luggage and bags. Great breakfast served to the room; it was the best! We really enjoyed our stay and wished we had booked another night. "This was our first night in Costa Rica. We picked to stay here to split the drive to la fortuna and to be able to stop at Rio Celeste. It’s close to Rio Celeste. The town itself seems abanded. "The location was perfect for seeing Rio Celeste and other rainforest tours. Everyone was really friendly and the food was great. Communication was somewhat interesting because I hadn’t brushed up on my Spanish enough but we made it work! The bed wasn’t super comfortable, shower didn’t get very hot and the walls weren’t exactly soundproof but for the price it was still a good value. I’d definitely stay here again!"
