"Very clean and quick communication! I chose this one because it has a kitchen. Eating out for every meal can get very expensive in Reykjavík so being able to cook a few meals is great. The location is not right in the center of downtown Reykjavík where all the restaurants, bars, nightlife are (they're about 20min walk from the hotel). But considering the price, it makes sense and reasonable. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here."

"Great location both for getting around Reykjavik and for tourist transfers. Kitchen was really well stocked for a tourist apartment. Good heating. However, the hot water had an overwhelming smell of sulphur."

"Perfectly located in the capital, lots of grocery options, souvenir shops nearby. Good space to share for 3 people, only down side is that the water from taps smelled obnoxious, be it the toilets or kitchen sink, it all smell really bad and not suitable for drinking. "

"My family and I were over the moon with the Hlemmur Suites!! Third time in Reykjavik, Iceland and this was by far the best place we stayed at. The amenities were spot on and just what we needed for a group of 5. We absolutely loved everything!! Management team was top tier!! Every question answered very timely!! We will always come back to Hlemmur Suites!!!"

"We stayed in 2 bedrooms with balcony on 2nd floor for 6 nights. Place is small and basic in central location. 2 blocks from bus stop 9. Owner lives at property. Bathroom was tiny. Shower space was small, we managed. It was a small unit. No extra space to put bags. We joined 2 chairs to put our 2 carryons. Nice cafe and fast food nextdoor for early or late night meals. "

"Great location! Very clean and large rooms to accommodate 3 adults. Sofa bed was comfortable. Staff was very friendly. Free coffee 24/7. Parking was expensive but convenient, recommend booking in advance though because it is very limited. Breakfast was an extra charge so visited a nearby bakery which was very delicious."

"We stayed at Alda Hotel for 7 nights and loved our time there. In addition to the aspects we liked marked above, they have an exceptional front desk staff that kindly takes care and with a warm smile of any questions or requests. One person stood out as an extraordinary hospitality ambassador, Ms Violeta, who is beyond extraordinary. If we return to Reykjavik we will definitely stay here again, mostly so we can enjoy her sincere customer service with a smile. I worked 30 years for a company that served the biggest attractions parks, five star hotels and destination management companies, from my experience of working with the top in the hospitality industry, I recognize greatness in Violeta who exceeds any such standards by far. So much so that she should be training others in this field. Also, the hotel offers a nice breakfast buffet which includes vegetarian options. If you need anything in your room that is not already there, just ask. They will do their best to accommodate you. Also, it is so convenient to walk around, go to bus stop #9 for excursions, and/or call a taxi. It is within walking distance from almost everything worth seeing in Reykjavik, or a non-expensive taxi ride from the others like Sky Lagoon and Perlan Museum. "
