"I really enjoyed my stay here. I was travelling for business so had little time for site seeing but the area was beautiful. Hotel was spotlessly clean and the food was amazing. Clearly run by someone who wants to provide excellent service. If I visit the area again this is the first hotel I will try to book. "

"Really enjoyed my time here, mostly peaceful, food good and left alone as needed privacy. Lovely pub and surroundings. Only gripes would be loud music until 2.00am in the morning one of nights I was there, but I guess this comes with staying in a pub. Also nasty smell in shower/toilet room, Maybe a problem with water pipes. Sort of like a dirty drain smell. Shame as the rest of my experience was great."

"We booked this pub/hotel for a two night stay due to going to a wedding at Hallington Mill a venue approximately 15mins drive away. Arriving on a Friday afternoon we received a lovely friendly welcome and had a evening meal on our first night. We stayed in room 7 a fantastic large bathroom which look brand new. Every member of staff we had dealings with very friendly and helpful. "

"I wanted a low budget one night stay. Although property is old fashioned, my single room, with en suite was very clean and bed was comfortable The breakfast cerea,l yogurt etc was an unexpected bonus. Kettle, microwave and fridge in room. Member of staff on arrival friendly and helpful. I couldn’t get the tv to find any chanels, but not there long enough to enquire about it.
