"The cottage was lovely, clean and cosy. But the cottage its self is very remote . You need to get your supplies before you get there as there is nothing in the cottage has in a welcome pack . The hot tub was only luke warm and was never checked all weekend. Which wasnt good ! I was expecting it to be hot / warm . The cottage could do with suppling a few essentials like salt , pepper , oil and more than 1 toilet roll for 2 toilets . But the cottage itself was nice, clean and well presented,...

"We had a lovely cosy stay in this comfortable cottage. It suited our needs perfectly. It is a remote property right next to the Vindolanda site, which was well worth visiting, there was free entry with the cottage. Great location for lots of walks and Hexham & Corbridge are worth a visit. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here."

"Had a lovely time staying here for a few days. We had a couple of places we had on our bucket list and this was a good base. Didn’t get a chance to see the arch near by by as it was raining. Only advise would be to have a sign where the holiday homes are as we used the postcode and nav took us to road down the road. Thank you for loaning us your pass for the Beamish Living Museum, had a lovely day even though we got a little wet. "

"If you can make time to leave the incredible view and hot tub. It’s worthwhile spending some time walking locally. Alston is fantastic, cool off in the river on a hot day or explore the village cafes and pubs on a cooler one. Walk through the tall grass to the footpath in the valley. Follow the footpath up river. You’ll reach a waterfall about 1.5-2km away. Lots of places to see locally and some treasures to be found."
