"Perfect location and beautiful house. We are a family of 10 adults and had plenty of room. The park is fun to visit though parking can be challenging. The same with Bar Harbor, great town but difficult to park. I’d recommend this home and location for a Fall getaway. Foliage was amazing. "This house was in a great scenic location in a quiet neighborhood on the water. It was about 40 minutes to Bar Harbor/Acadia, but the scenic location made the distance worth it. "We love this lake house! The area is convenient to everything but also secluded and so peaceful. It was the perfect home to relax in after a long day out exploring Acadia. I was able to cook a lot of our meals, laundry was easy to do and my kids loved the mini pool table. We would stay here again if we visited MDI again. "This house was wonderful! Clean, easy to find on GPS, even in the dark when we arrived and a very quiet location. The view was beautiful. We saw deer in the backyard and across the lake. We utilized the fire pit on a cool night and enjoyed s’mores with our family. The small touches were thoughtful-mini bottles of shampoo & conditioner, mini bars of soap, coffee available for the coffee maker. Beds were comfortable as well. If we’re ever back in this area, I would definitely stay here again. "

"We really enjoyed this spacious and clean home. Plenty of room for 6 adults. Beautiful sunrise/sunset views from the very large deck. We spent a lot of time relaxing on the deck. Not too far to Acadia Nat’l Park and Bar Harbor. Highly recommend this home for a relaxing Maine vacation."

"We stayed for several nights and enjoyed our time here. The interior is quite big and there is a lot of open space. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. We enjoyed using the popcorn popper as well. Even though there is no forced air heating or cooling, we felt quite comfortable, even with the outside temperature ranging from 40s to 80s. "This cozy little cottage had the perfect location with a gorgeous view of my favorite garden in SWH and the harbor beyond. It is a very short walk to restaurants and shops. We loved having fires in the woodstove. The kitchen was well appointed and the bed was comfortable. We definitely want to stay again!"

"This was a captivating setting. If we were to stay there for a few days, it would have been delightful. As it was, we were driving back from Acadia NP. We just weren’t prudent. We were up for indoor camping and maybe even the wood stove, but elected not to stay after arriving after dark…totally our choice. Another time, it would have been PERFECT. "

"The cottage was cute and well equipped. At first as we were driving there it seemed so far off the beaten path. As we ventured out the next day to Acadia National park we realized we weren’t that far away. It was about a 45 min drive. We do like to watch a little tv before bed; so, if you want a tv, there is no tv. We listened to our music. It was a little too cold to sit outside to do any star gazing. The view of the sunrise over Cadillac mountain was beautiful!"
