"Very nice place. Well staffed. Buffet Breakfast top notch. Only issues were the vallet parking, the concierge said parking was free for accord memebers then on checkout hit with a $50 charge. The shower had a separate hot and cold tap which was a bit of a pain to get the temp right. Otherwise this is a very nice place close to Spark Arena, walking distance for any events."

"Stayed 6 nights in a King Suite, loved every minute! Room was clean and very well appointed, bathroom well lit. Bed was really comfortable and everything worked well. Service was warm, personal and I felt genuinely cared for. Had a couple of spa treatments and they were fantastic! Breakfast buffet could have had more selection and been served faster. Will definitely stay here any time I’m back in Auckland. "

"This hotel is the most technological five star hotel in the NZ. Spacious room and comfortable beds, modern decoration, great breakfast ( you can order from the menu). However the maximum breakfast you can buy is two per room, I booked from Hotels and paid the breakfast for 2 adults and 2 kids, however, after we had our breakfast, I was asked to pay 45NZD for two kids. I am so confused. Another thing is there’s no big area for taxi to park and get luggages out or on the car. "

"Strangely there were very few other guests around, and after talking to a fellow guest, who happened to be using the spa, he advised me that the Marsden hotel is leased out and yet is under the same roof as the Sofitel. Interesting as when I arrived , the female greeter asked Marsden or Sofitel are you staying at. Didn’t think anything about it, until I became aware that the Marsden is a fraction of the cost yet the rooms are IDENTICAL. I believe the use of the pool and gym for Marsden guests...

"The hotel was great! The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The daily happy hour was a great way to get to know the other guests at the hotel. The daily breakfast was filling and great quality as well. The rooms were as advertised. Modern, clean, and accessible. While slightly small in size, they were perfect for our trip to Auckland."
