"Have stayed twice recently for family reasons. The first time was last minute and was a very lucky find. The most recent stay was on the back of the first. Such a wonderful hotel. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Beds are super comfy and the hotel is so peaceful considering you are so close to the city centre. "I have been to Summer Lodge in the past but only to the dog-friendly whiskey bar for pre-prandials before the main course at the dog-friendly Acorn Inn (luscious dinner) over the road (which is part of the same hotel group). "This was an overnight stay while working locally and this place was chosen for its location and the fact that it’s a pub as well. The room was nice but could do with some TLC but I was very comfortable. The bar area was a little cold but I soon warmed up with the lovely food that was on offer and the staff were really friendly and helpful which is why I would recommend this place to others thinking of staying here."
