"We had an amazing stay at Oldfields House! From start to finish, the service from the staff was brilliant. Communication before arrival was great—they helped arrange a bottle of bubbles to be left in the room as a surprise for my partner’s birthday and allowed us to check in early. When we arrived, we were surprised by balloons and bunting in the room, which was a thoughtful touch and made the occasion even more special. The room itself was clean, with a comfy bed, a selection of hot drinks by the kettle, a TV, and a lovely view. Breakfast was excellent, with generous portions and good vegetarian options. The bar was also had a good selection and reasonable prices. The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk into town, and on our last day, they kindly let us leave our bags after checkout. Overall, our stay was brilliant, and the extra effort from the staff made my partner’s birthday truly memorable. Highly recommended."

"Easy check in. We had parked elsewhere as underground carpark appeared closed but apparently you have to get a code from reception to use their carpark. Breakfast very good indeed. Lady serving breakfast is excellent at her job. Would stay again. Room 5 was quiet, could do with a lick of paint but very clean. "
