"This hotel is huge. The main foyer is brand new and gorgeous with bar, restaurant and swimming facilities. The rest of the hotel is a bit older. The room is an okay place to stay. The sheets are clean and the bathroom usable. But the floors did feel perpetually dirty underfoot. It's worth the money to stay and I enjoyed the experience. "

"Lovely hotel and Spa, very clean and welcoming with a lovely restaurant. Only reason why it scored low on facilities was because of the planned refurbishment of the pool area, which we knew about after booking but didn’t put us off. Would definitely stay again and would look forward to seeing the refurbished pool area next time over a lovely place to stay"

"A bit disappointing. Room was too hot - someone had set the aircon to 28°! Also, I had checked online and it said that they had Sky Sports in the rooms. They don't. They wouldn't even put it on in the bar for me to watch the football 😭 Also, one usually gets tea, coffee and some biscuits in a hotel room. There was tea and coffee, but it was hidden away in the cupboard, so presumably was free. The only refreshments out in the open were the £1.50 bottles of water. I expect better for £120ish per...

"Free parking nice staff and nice clean room breakfast and dinner was nice the only thing let down was the 2 pillows given were too big not comfortable need improving on different pillow sizes and give 4 sizes didn't sleep good at all."

"Lovely hotel in the high street. Looked very bright with the christmas lights and decorations. Staff were all nice and brekky was delish. The only thing I'd moan at is having to pay to stay in the hotel car park, ive never had to do that before!"

"This is a first-class hotel with beautifully-appointed rooms. Lots of attention to detail for the guest (complimentary drink in room on arrival, 24 hour room service, lovely restaurant and bar). Historic setting on high street, within easy walking distance of all attractions and train station. Very attentive staff. Highly recommended. "

"We stop here frequently. We have room 102 that has been refurbished this stay. The room is excellent and value for money one could not expect more. Our personal request was dealt with immediately we requested a lighter weight duvet because the super king size is far too heavy. A point to note the heating system is noisy compared with the previous stays here."
