"A spectacular looking hotel in an historic building. You can normally judge why your stay will be like based on the welcome you receive at check in and Darren who checked us in couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. Nice bar area, albeit small, and whilst the rooms are not massive they are comfortable and well furnished. The location next to Lime Street Station and St John Centre where parking is just £6 for 24 hours is another major draw. "

"Great central location. Good pool and breakfast selection. Not pleased about the lack of housekeeping as we were staying for 2 nights. We raised this at reception but NO action was taken. Also, service at reception is extremely slow. We checked in online but it still takes ages when you get there."

"We stayed at the Pullman for the Comicon and the location couldn’t have been better ( literally next to it ! The hotel is very modern and there’s a lovely bar and restaurant in the lobby . We have stayed there twice now and will be back again in May . It’s also very close to the dock ( 5 minute walk ) ."

"Hotel staff were very good. The bar and seating area are well presented. The rooms are a little dated and tired. Windows sealed closed so unable to open. carpets not very clean. and very dark (low level lighting throughout the hotel) breakfast service is very good and the food was good. "

"The staff were really great and their service outweighed the noise from nearby bars/music venues/etc that affected my sleep. Maybe get triple glazing installed or some other remedy to help with noise reduction?"

"Great location overlooking river Dee and racecourse. Amazing views from restaurant! Breakfast was really good with lots of choice. Rooms clean, tidy and functional. We found bed very soft but that is our personal feeling. Easy underground parking at reasonable cost. Short walk to city centre. We would definitely stay here again."

"Firstly, we stay here because of the parking. It’s not multi storey, maybe a tad cramped, but because it’s on-site, easily accessible. The staff are great, polite and professional. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to Liverpool One which again is a huge plus, but I suppose my main issue is that unlike other similar chains, basics like a fridge in the room are not provided, I would also suggest the bathrooms are very tight with slightly fatigued fittings! .
