"I booked a room here for a week to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday. The property and staff are simply amazing...I can't imagine there is a better spot to stay in Zihua. Carmen, Luis, and all the staff made us feel like royalty. We stayed in the Alejandra suite (Expedia calls it the Romantic suite). It was completely private and had it's own dipping pool and outdoor shower. We splurged on dinner here on our first night and it was amazing...worth every penny. The views are amazing, and we spent a lot of time lounging by the infinity pool while letting all of our cares melt away. The location is perfect: it's a quick walk to either Playa la Madera/town in one direction or Playa La Ropa in the other. It's a bit of an uphill hike to get back to the hotel, but it helps burn off the calories from all the delicious food you'll eat while in Zihua! The only thing I would change is to book directly with the hotel rather than through Expedia. I wanted to change one night on my reservation, but Expedia couldn't seem to make that happen. I found it impossible to get a real person at Expedia, and their stupid bot was worthless. The Hotel staff were willing to make the change, but their hands were tied since I made the reservation through Expedia (This seems to be a common theme whenever booking through Expedia)"

"Staff — excellent. Food — very good. Location — amazing. But two minor quibbles. 1. Bar closes at 6 — right when I start thinking about a cocktail. There is a space above the reception that is set up like a bar but was never open the two times we stayed there. 2. Rooms are luxurious but there is no glass in the windows/doors so when it is hot (most of the time in Zihuatanejo) you have all the shutters closed for A/C so no view at all. But we had a lovely time. If you don’t care about a bar and plan to spend all your time poolside or beachside, it’s perfect!"
