"Location was perfect for buses to Venice city center & the Marco Polo airport. Room was clean and comfortable, a bit small for American preference but was just fine. Close to the train station, but on the 8th floor, the noise wasn’t bothersome. Staff was friendly and we stored our luggage before checking in without any issues. "

"The terrace on the rooftop was a nice perk of the property, which had lovely views over the canal. There are many dining options just outside of the hotel (although mostly aimed toward tourists), but it still provides some variety. It was a little challenging to fit two large suitcases and two carry on’s comfortably in the room because the rooms are smaller as are most European hotels. "

"Palazzo Barocci is a modern (in an ancient structure of course) supremely located upscale boutique hotel with commanding view on the Grand Canal of Venice. Definitely get a room with a view, preferably the junior suite. They are located right next to the S. Angelo vaporetto stop, and close to the Rialto Bridge. "We decided at the last moment to stay here instead of taking a very early morning train from Bologna to the Venice airport. We were surprised by not only the really fine quality and cleanliness of the rooms (we don't often stay at hotels next to the airport), but their restaurant was excellent. All the food was made in-house and delicious. "
