"We had the luxury room and it was really spacious! Amazing value for the price. Areas of improvement are the length of time it took to get the room refreshed. If you are staying over then the rooms are done last. The amenities are also nailed to the wall in the shower so they are difficult to use in the bath. Reception gave me some spares. "Lovely old hotel, and very comfortable - but note this does mean it doesn't have a lift, so you may want to request a room on the first floor if stairs are a difficulty. Staff were uniformly friendly and helpful. Great location in the centre of Lewes (though remember Lewes is built on a hill, and it's at the top of the hill)."

"The room was a fair size. It was rather hot but you can turn the radiator off. It is on a main road and there is a lot of traffic noise. But it is nice and clean and the staff are helpful. They did us bacon sandwiches to go instead of having to sit down for breakfast. "
