"The room was not the best kept: there was a random white mini fridge just sitting under the desk as if there was no other place they could find to put it (or no other color to better match the decor). No closet in the room or place to hang clothing. The back of the bathroom door was falling apart, I assume the wood was warped from water damage. There was a loud noise about every 20 minutes all night in the room. "

"This was an older building with character (difficult to find in Charlotte) in the heart of Uptown. It was well-maintained with friendly staff. It was part hotel/part residences so the layout was a little strange. However the restaurant/bar once found, was lovely (we had breakfast there). The staff truly wanted to make our stay special."
