"The hotel room was clean itself but looked on one of the lampshades there was some very unpleasant stains on it to say the least. The beds was very comfy along with the pillows and place felt clean overall. Also maybe a few less scratches on the wall, could maybe do with a lick of paint. Also there was a music event on till 1am and they gave us 1 extra hour on checkout which wasn’t really needed. "

"Great staff at check in. Reasonable car park charge at £5 for 24 hours. Breakfast was the usual choices, but staff again were friendly and helpful and the food was hot. Hotel is quite new, so its smart and clean. Bed was very comfy. Iron and board in room. Plenty of storage. My only negative is the glass wall and door on the bathroom. "Overall the stay was comfortable and fairly priced. The grade 2 listed is of great standing and looks. While you walk around this Tudor house and grounds feeling you’re brushing with the past. The food, is of a great standard and size. The down side to our weekend here, was being woken up at 11.30ish with the sound of the bar emptying its bottles in the collection bin and the same thing Sunday morning at 7.30.
