"A good location from which to enjoy the Gero Onsen experience. Free shuttle from the train station makes it convenient. The dinner and breakfast are excellent if you like japanese style meals. Very convenient to local shopping, etc. Very enjoyable hot baths. Recommended if you like public baths and ryokan style meals."

"Located very close to JR station, convenient for taking bus to other cities. Not very close to sight seeing spots within the city, about 15 minutes walk, but is acceptable. Next to the hotel is a very famous hida beef restaurant. Very nice!"

"The hotel is big and could cater to big crowds without having the guests feeling overcrowding. The 3 onsens are spread over 3 different blocks of building but very walkable within indoor (hence no concern about rain or cold weather). Buffet breakfast was excellent with good spread of western and Japanese cuisine. Parking onsite is complimentary and the hotel is walkable to small town with eateries, shops and cafes. "The staff speak English or Mandarin hence communication was a breeze for me. They were very friendly, helpful and polite. The location of the ryokan is within walking distance to the town and close to the train station. Hotel provides a bus shuttle to the train station. From the train station to the hotel, there is also a complimentary ride. I had a very pleasant stay at the ryokan and highly recommend it. "

"Actually, everything is perfect. Anyway, the room can't protect any voice from other room. Air Conditioner is not good for control the temperature in the room. However, the size is quite small but it is not the wrong by the hotel. It just me that may need the big one. If i go alone, this hotel will be my first choice for relax."

"I came to Gero on a recommendation from a close friend. I somehow missed it when I had done a previous Takayama trip and I am glad I came back. The town is very small and the hotel is easily walkable from the station, some people say 15 mins but it was more like 8-10 mins and that was while stopping to take pictures of the Hida river. "An exceptional hotel that ticks all the boxes for me. Wonderful staff and service. Location is very convenient with a Family Mart a stone’s throw away and close to the Old Town with lots of restaurants and shops. The onsen is a bonus. Free drinks in the evening are very welcome. Love it!"
