"I recently had the pleasure of staying at the New Akao Hotel in Atami, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the stunning ocean views and the hotel's incredible location perched along the coastline. The rooms are spacious, impeccably clean, and designed to maximize the breathtaking scenery—waking up to the sound of the waves and the sunrise over the water was truly magical. The onsen (hot springs) was a highlight, offering a serene and rejuvenating soak while overlooking the endless sea. The hospitality was outstanding. The staff was attentive, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The dining experience was equally impressive, with fresh, beautifully prepared Japanese cuisine that showcased local flavors. Beyond the hotel, Atami itself is a charming getaway with beautiful gardens, relaxing beaches, and rich cultural sites. The hotel's proximity to these attractions makes it an excellent base for exploring the area. "We always stay here when we have to get on or off the Shinkansen as it is not too far. The variety of dining and shot options also make us want to stay here and it is not as chaotic as in Tokyo city centre or Shinjuku. We prefer this place as it is easily walkable to the shops and dining places we often go to as we know what we're getting. The staff are always friendly by and approachable. We also like the fact that when we request extra pillows they sent them right away. In other hotels, we are asked to come and get the pillow/s ourselves which is not so bad but the service at Prince Hotels are great usually. This is one of our fave hotels. Although our room with double beds was not as spacious as in similarly priced accommodation, we find it cater to our needs very well "
